Thomas purchased 100 acres S 1/2 L22 Conc 5 Morris Twp., Huron Co., Ontario.
He moved onto his farm in 1856.

Source: "Township Papers" #1097 from Ontario Archives, Toronto, Ref: RG1-CIV, the following Affidavit was registered 6 Apr 1863 and signed by Thomas's brother Bartholomew. Settlement duties were herin verified and he received Patent (title) to his 100 acres. (see Collins Book, p176)
